The wait for new Wu-Tang Clan music is over.
The influential New York-based rap collective has dropped “Keep Watch,” the first track lifted from the long-overdue new album “A Better Tomorrow”.
Singer Nathaniel provides vocals in the chorus and long-time Wu-Tang collaborator DJ Mathematics lends his production skills to the song, which arrived unexpectedly Tuesday night.
In their own words, Wu-Tang describe the new work as “Classic 90s Mono Beat, infused with lyrical dart throwing content.”
“A Better Tomorrow” has been a long time coming. Late last year, RZA talked-up the 20th anniversary album as being just six weeks or so from completion. It would now seem the album’s nearly ready to go. “A Better Tomorrow” is available to pre-order at the Wu Music Group Website, which carries a message to explain the set is “in the works and almost ready to ship.”
